*Addicted to CAS #192*

Vicki D is the host for the next Addicted to CAS challenge!  For the next two weeks, please share with your clean and simple cards using the code word ANIMAL for your chance to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge.  Today, we have Jen Mitchell joining as our guest designer.

I have some animal stamps, but you all know how I feel about colouring.... and while I was sitting and thinking about what I wanted to create, I got word that friends of ours had to put down their beloved dog, Traxie.  That made my decision for me... I'd make a sympathy card for them.

I wanted to create a bit of a rainbow to lend to the idea of the Rainbow Bridge... but I didn't want to overpower the card since this was supposed to be clean and simple.  The card did end up a little more busy than I had hoped, but I think they will like it.

*Addicted to CAS #191*

It's SATURDAY!!  For most, a favourite day of the week...  but for me, just another work day.  Thankfully it's only a half day, but it's not as exciting as when you have it off LOL!  I love my job, but man I love my time off too!  My work week is Wednesday to Saturday... and I like it!

But, Saturday is good for another reason!  Every second Saturday is the day we start a new challenge over at Addicted to CAS!  I am the host for challenge #191 and I chose hearts.  Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has come up with (they are gorgeous!!) as well as give a little love to our guest designer, Joyce!

You will recognize these hearts from the card I posted a couple of days ago.... more that I cut out of that alcohol ink background I created.

Items Used:
*Cardstock:  Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 110lb; Yupo
*Images:  My Favorite Things Essential Sentiments
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne; alcohol inks
*Dies:  Hero Arts heart infinity dies
*Tools:  air blower; Big Shot
*Etc:  alcohol blending solution

Now, it's your turn!  Create a clean and simple card with a Heart theme and share it with us on the Addicted to CAS blog for your chance to be chosen to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

*Addicted to CAS #189*

It's time for another clean and simple challenge with the design team at Addicted to CAS!  Ceal has chosen the prompt for challenge #189.... and for the next two weeks, we want to see your cards using the prompt of SNOW...

I couldn't decide if I wanted to go with snowflake or snowman so I honestly made two cards and am posting my favourite of the two today... the other will show up later in the month.

I decided to go *super* clean and simple with this card....  I'm not sure how I feel about it being a birthday card.  I might change out the sentiment and save it to send out next year as a Christmas card.

Items Used:
*Cardstock:  Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 110lb; silver glitter paper
*Images:  My Favorite Things Essential Sentiments
*Ink:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
*Dies:  Impression Obsession; My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangles; Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiments Banners
*Tools:  Big Shot
*Etc:  foam adhesive
*Embellishments:  Stampin' Up! snowflake bling

Be sure to link up your Clean and Simple SNOW card for your chance to be chosen to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!  And take some time to see what the rest of the design team has come up with...  we all have different ideas and styles!

*AddictedtoCAS #188*

I am SO very excited to share with you that I've been chosen to join the design team at Addicted to CAS!  Yup, another clean and simple card challenge blog!  You will see posts from me every two weeks about these new challenges and I hope to see you playing along!

The challenge has been on a break since the summer so this is the first post in a while...  but the design team is ready to play!

For our first challenge of 2021, we want to see how you interpret the word EMBOSS.... heat embossing?  Dry embossing?  Something else?  You have two weeks to create your card and post it to the Addicted to CAS blog... you can post from Instagram, Flickr or your own blog (and probably other ways I'm not familiar with!)

I decided to go with another winter birthday card...  this could easily be mass produced as a Christmas card by just changing up the sentiment.
Items Used:
*Cardstock:  Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 110lb; Stampin' Up! Balmy Blue
*Images:  My Favorite Things Giraffes on Ice
*Etc:  Stampin' Up! embossing folder
*Tools:  Gemini Jr; Perfect Layers
