*Use It!*

This card probably looks familiar....  you've seen one a lot like it on a post just a few weeks ago.  You can see that HERE.  I cute a lot of extra flowers and leaves when I did that first card so I kept them and have used them on this card as well....  and I've made another card using the flowers that you'll see at some point...

I just love these Stampin' Up! Pierced Blooms dies...

And once again, a big Happy Birthday to the team at Time Out Challenges!

*AAA#185*

A brand new clean and simple challenge with AAACards starts today... and we've got a new idea for you!  We're calling this one, the inchie.  EVERYTHING you put on this clean and simple card must fit within one inch.  As always we have an optional twist as well... this time it's to keep your card black and white.  You up for the challenge?  If yes, link up your cards HERE for your chance to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!  Our guest designer for Game #185 is Hannelie.  Be sure to check out her fabulous blog!

I had a few ideas for my card... but this is what I settled on...

In designing this card, I realized I have very few stamps that fit in a one inch area!  I cut my black cardstock to 3/4" square, embossed the little snail in white and then stamped the Wish Big right under the black square.  I love the contrast of the Wish Big sentiment with such a little image.

*January 2021 Sheetload of Cards*

For someone who loves patterned paper, I sure haven't used it much in the past years.  It doesn't lend to my usual clean and simple style.  So I am trying to use it more often.  I'm so glad I found Call Me Crafty Al's Sheetload of Cards idea....  she posts a new template every month where you can make a "sheetload" of cards but she also provides the measurements so that you can make just one card.  As I don't often feel the need to have a bunch of cards the same, I am doing the one card ideas.

The easiest way to do these cards is to use patterned paper from a pack...  then you know all of the colours will go together.  I am using a Stampin' Up! retired paper pack for this card.

I also want to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the team at Time Out Challenges!!  If you like to work with challenges, I think you'll like this one!

Hello March!!  I am excited that it is March... the days are getting longer, spring is in the air and we are all that much closer to sandal weather!  We've had a pretty good winter here in Calgary, but I'm over it and ready for spring!

It's time for another challenge with the team at CASology... our cue for this challenge is LUCK!  We want to see your lucky cards.  Share your cards with us HERE for your chance to be asked to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!  Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has done with this cue word at the CASology Blog.
